About Gabriel

Where it all began

Growing up in the outskirts of North Bay, being outdoors and active was a part of life. Being on his mountain bike in Algonquin park was a regular part of the summer months which was replaced by hockey in the winter. Throughout his junior and senior career, he was a high ranking national badminton player in Canada and only transitioned to road cycling as a way for him to keep a competitive atmosphere in his athletic lifestyle once badminton was no longer the focus.

Sport

After competing on the University of Ottawa’s badminton team for 5 years and then transitioning to the head coach position during his masters, cycling began to occupy a larger part of his life and you can now find him training and always continuing to try and improve himself on the roads around Ottawa and Gatineau.

Academics

Gabriel completed his Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa where he found his passion to work closely with high performance athletes to optimize their recovery and allow for a timely return to sport.

Following his undergrad, he continued his studies by completing a Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa. His leadership and professionalism throughout those years awarded him two academic awards and have motivated him to continue his studies by pursuing his PhD.

Today

Gabriel has a passion for preventive medicine and motivating people to get out, be active; and attributes a great deal of that ideology to the range of experiences in sports and academics that lead him to where he is today.

He loves helping to get people moving and believes that cycling is one of the best means to do that. By offering services in French and English, he hopes to be able to help people feel better on their bikes and motivate them to participate more in the amazing sport or cycling.
